On Saturday the Edo state police command de-kitted and dismissed 5 serving police officers for engaging in criminal activities while still serving. They were notorious for using commercial buses to intercept unsuspecting members of the public who were then driven around Benin City while intimidating them, after which they’d use a POS to extort money from them. Those dismissed are Corporal Mordi Philip, Corporal Destiny Emmanuel, Corporal Uwatse Emmanuel, Corporal Okon Elvis and Corporal Samuel David Obeten.
