Somalia was once one of the socialist countries and maintained close relations with the Soviet Union and Cuba. However, during the Ogaden War between Somalia and Ethiopia, Cuba sent more than 15,000 troops to support Ethiopia I believe this is an important chapter in history that deserves to be summarized Susan, and explained. How did this alliance begin, what led Cuba to change sides, and how did the conflict eventually end? It would also be valuable to understand Cuba’s broader involvement in Africa during that period and the impact it had on the region.
