This is a tough one. The use of deadly force was justified because a reasonable person would believe that their life was in jeopardy when the man had the deputy pinned. But for me this starts much earlier. The deputy escalated this encounter from the start by screaming at the man to get out of the car instead of calmly approaching the vehicle. The use of force was proper but the deputy should be fired

All the cops fault, he should be charged and imprisoned. He starts off way too aggressive for just a speeding offence, which escalates everything, ending in the guys death.

Sure he shouldn’t have been speeding but that doesn’t mean he deserved to die. And sure the cop was getting his behind whooped but again that doesn’t mean the dude deserved to DIE. If the cop wouldn’t have started the interaction with so much hostility, all this could’ve been avoided. And why is he still have a cop if he’s been removed from THREE previous departments for EXCESSIVE force??? Maybe the problem isn’t the black man who probably felt he was gonna die anyway due to cop violence while also just being released after doing 16 years for a crime he didn’t even commit. Y’all have no real humanity or empathy in these comments.

Everyone sayong cop is in the wrong but going 30 over is a felony not a ticket 🤦♀️on top of all that, had the man just complied cop wlda took him into custody and he wldnt hav lost his life. instead the man attacked the deputy thus the deputy defended himself with the last form of protection he had. He tried to use EVRRY other form of protection he had before he chose the gun. He wasn’t racist. He didn’t do that because of race he did all that bc the man was acting crazy.
