„Weit jenseits des Meeres, im Westen, gibt es ein Land namens Vinland dort ist es warm und fruchtbar. Ein so ferner Ort, dass weder Sklavenhändler noch die Flammen des Krieges ihn erreichen können.“

Another day lost to this shitter of a disease trying to rob me of my joy 😩 The FRUSTRATION I feel when I flare up badly for trying to actually live my life is immense! As is the guilt, the shame, the awkwardness I feel for my family & friends when I have to last minute cancel on plans, get cover for my next school run or I can’t get up to do bedtime. Because yesterday I was “fine” and some days it can be that morning I was “fine”. And things just change, in an instant. When my mental state is fragile, I find myself wondering if the highs of a good day are worth it for the injustice of the lows that soon follow. It doesn’t feel fair to keep being punished by my body for trying; trying SO hard to just be. To be present and to live my life. But I know the consequences of giving up and I can’t do that. Not when I’m fortunate enough for the support I have lifting me every day, fuelling me with hope, shrouding me with kindness and love. I don’t know if it’s me turning 40 in a month, the speed in which my boy is growing up or the recent losses of wonderful people who’s time was cut far too short (or all of them) that has magnified the passing of time recently. And I am SICK of loosing time to pain 😠 So tomorrow I will get up and try again. #chronicpain #chronicillness #endometriosis #womenshealth #painflare
