I work at one of the largest law firms in Indianapolis with over 100 employees. I’ve made it a priority to introduce myself to every new attorney, legal assistant, staff member, and intern, and I ensure they know where everyone is located throughout our office. What started as a personal goal has evolved into something unexpected. Now, when people need to know where a colleague sits, they ask me before they ask the receptionist. Even more remarkably, the receptionist who has been with our firm for 45 years and is truly like a mother to me will ask me where certain people are or where they sit.
