The world's been feeling heavy lately but we wanted to remind you that there's so much love and hope out there and it's worth celebrating. Progress is made for children around the world every day. Children like those you see in this post. *Names changed to protect identities. ❤️ Fati, 14, was overjoyed when his younger brother Khalif was recently vaccinated by a Save the Children-trained health worker. He had already lost is other brother Mohammed to measles, and it had a huge impact on Fati and his family. Knowing Khalif is protected means the world. ❤️ 13-year-old Adel was recently able to re-enroll in school with support from a Save the Children programme that has helped over 60,000 children access education in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Adel used to be at home doing homework set by her dad, now she is head girl. ❤️ Sarah*, 10, dropped out of education after fleeing her home and moving to a displacement camp in Northeast Syria. In collaboration with Global Partnerships for Education, we were able to reach Sarah and her siblings with school supplies, and helped them start learning again. ❤️ When 18-year-old Amina* was just 14, her father died and she faced early marriage. But we supported her to stay in education instead, through a programme which shows families the importance of education. Through our Income Generating Scheme, her family was able to pay for exams to return to school. ❤️ Lina*, 12, finds empowerment, friendship and freedom at a centre set up by Save the Children in the Za'atari refugee camp where she lives. It's a rare girls only space where they get to choose what they learn about: everything from sexual and reproductive health and rights, to languages, art, yoga and self-defense.
