@pawsofhoperescues: These precious little souls were just brought to our attention through a heartbreaking video. In the footage we received, a litter of newborn puppies can be seen abandoned inside a thin plastic bag, left out on the cold, wet ground in the rain. Their tiny bodies are soaked, fur matted and dripping, some barely moving as they huddle together for whatever warmth they can find. One is gently held up, eyes still closed, mouth slightly open — a fragile life hanging in the balance. Our team has already left and is on the way to the location right now. We are praying with everything we have that we find them still alive and that we reach them in time. The moment they are safely in our hands, they will be taken straight to the vet for emergency care. These newborns will need immediate warming, round-the-clock bottle feeding, full medical checks, treatment for possible hypothermia and dehydration, medications, formula, and a safe, dry place to recover. So far, the initial emergency costs for the first vet response, warming supplies, and starter formula have already reached $487.
