You made sure baby is fed, has a clean diaper, burped and then set them down in a safe place and walk away for a few minutes. It's okay for them to cry a little if you need a break.

I take a shower. Its the only time I actually feel like me again. There are even days when I just sit in the shower and cry it out. And when I get out, I feel like I can breathe. Even a 10 minute shower… it feels like a reset

got called a piss taking bastard yesterday by the mil in the family group chat, told me i shouldn't of had a baby if i couldn't cope. being the mother i should apparently just get on with it and shut up. all i did was ask her son (baby dad) for afew hours break... shes absolutely broken me.

We feel overwhelmed when they’re little and miss them when they get older, there is a break for mamas 6-12 yr old, take that all in, because it goes SO fast! However one day you’ll be celebrating her 23 yr old birthday not regretting or maybe not even remembering this moment!!! It might seem silly but I genuinely get a break when I go visit my parents, how my mom makes me feel like me again, even tho I have my little one 24/8 by my side, it’s just a breath of relief when I’m back home from my new home ❤️🩹
