Every internet-connected device is constantly being scanned by automated bots searching for exposed ports, outdated software, weak passwords, misconfigured cloud services, unsecured Wi-Fi networks, and leaked credentials. Small businesses, educational institutions, startups, non-profit organizations, and even ordinary individuals are attacked every day—not because they are famous, but because they are easier to compromise. Cyber attackers often prefer the path of least resistance, exploiting organizations that neglect basic security hygiene. This means your digital footprint, not your social status, determines your attractiveness as a target. In cyberspace, every vulnerable system eventually becomes someone's opportunity. The good news is that attackers can be discouraged by making your environment difficult to penetrate.
