And sometimes I get the feeling that if I am off of social media or I am not chronically online, that I'll miss out on trends and miss opportunities to go viral. I don't know if this is pretty common when you start creating content. Over the last couple months, it's brought me a lot of anxiety, especially comparing the type of content that other people are posting and thinking I need to do better or try what others are trying. When I first started this page, a lot of my ideas felt very pure and authentic to myself. I felt I could post my ideas openly, and the more I did that, the more creativity started to flow. It's like that muscle was being worked. I think over time burnout is really common, and I think it causes a lot of creators to look at others to see what they're doing and try to figure out what's working and implement it themselves. The truth is, when I've tried to do that, it makes posting feel so much harder. Then I'm comparing my idea and my post or the way I worded something to other people, and it makes me feel kind of shitty about my content. I'm still active on social media, but I'm not doom scrolling like I used to. Wow, what a world of a difference! I know if you've started posting content and feel like it's a constant comparison game, I'm right there with you. It's such a valid feeling. I couldn't recommend getting off the app and spending more time in the real world. You might be surprised about all the ideas you have and how much less insecure you'd feel about posting them.
