you know, most of yall would act the same way if put in these positions as well, or just not say anything. not excusing this behavior in any way, but most people wouldnt have the courage to speak out as a recruit. and even if you didnt agree with what they were doing. most of you wouldnt report them for fear of being ostracized by peers. look at the bystander effect, look at the Stanford Prison experiments, and many other cases. humans in general just suck when it comes to being in a power especially n a group.

there's a difference between making jokes and popping blisters. the jokes are a workplace culture issue. you can deal with death all day and stay ethical. you can also make jokes. but it is up to the supervisor to lay down the line on dont joke about the dead on scene. processing it afterwards joking becomes more acceptable, but not on scene in front of the decedent
