@babyacrobatics: You do not have to stop using diapers to start elimination communication because we still use cloth and disposable diapers alongside EC so you can have both... with our son we started EC at around one month and with our daughter from her day 2 and not every pee and poo goes into the potty it's not a 100% success rate) it takes practice and getting used to and some weeks maybe it doesnt work and there can be regressions but i still highly recommend it and think it's absolutely great
