My ex-husband and I got accepted into the New York housing lottery in 2014 for a beautiful apartment in Long Island city and the years and the amount of paperwork and the bureaucratic bullshit that we had to hop over just to get that apartment which we didn't end up taking is fucking wild. The fact that she got it well not even being a resident of New York City is also fucking wild
