You legit have to pick them out one by one and eventually they all starve to death! You cant rlly use any treatments if you have corys or shrimp or any sensitive fish 😭😭 but if you dont have any of those get a snail eliminator!!!

The only thing that worked for us and bladder snails is to leave a piece of lettuce floating on top, take it out after like 8 hours and they’ll all be on it so you can kill them in whatever humane way without releasing them outside

Soak them in seltzer, not tonic, water for 6 hours. That’s what “reverse respiration” is but for some reason everybody just says “reverse respiration” instead of “buy $2 worth of seltzer bottles and soak your plants.”

Nature Below :
Just trust the process! their populations rise and fall with the amount of food in the tank! they'll boom for a bit and just as you think that they're taking over... then they'll find a balance and you'll more than likely fall in love with them! 🙌☺️

Now that extremely invasive NZ mud snails are a problem ppl gotta know that you can either seltzer soak plants for 6-12 hours before adding or there is a genuine risk you’ll be taking the tank apart and starting over in a year because they are IMPOSSIBLE to remove from your tank. Immune to poisons. Multiply forever. Can’t even be starved bc they can live off biofilm. They are getting more and common bc people aren’t taking it seriously until it happens to them

I avoid this by obsessively crushing tiny specs(baby snails) for weeks after I get new plants. Post up to the glass like 👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️

Got some new plants for my tank, immediately rinsed through them and found so many snails. They are now in snail jail until I decide if I want to keep them or not lol
