War is changing. For 2,500 years a nation needed a large Navy to impose a naval blockade, and only the most powerful empires could do it. Now, the Houthis have previously imposed a blockade on red sea, without any Navy at all, and Iran is now also doing it on Hormuz, also without a Navy. Religious fundamentalists in the USA Congress think that having 11 Aircraft carriers makes them the most powerful military on the planet - and still haven't realised how the world has changed. How the USA became an advanced industrial economy with people like that in charge is a mystery to me.
