"on Sunday I harvest the wheat" the wheat field. which makes me think, if these all have been completely real instructions, what the HELL is gonna happen in chapter 6 that needs us to hold our breath, head to the left, and count to 100? I liked that one friend fangame that interpreted it as kris following those instructions to leave the shelter when with dess. but it's something WE need to do, I think we are going to find the fruits of our labor, and we are going to have one last secret that toby didn't wanna confirm.

Im so happy the fandom has gravitated towards this moment. I almost cried when i heard the song and walked into the room. It's a final goodbye to grief, to trauma, to your past. Not to forget but to move past it and accept it. If the forgotten man is a representation of Kris' trauma through they're therapist then the forgotten man leaving for good this time means that they have moved on. All the trauma from that day has been accepted and with the repressment of those feelings comes the embodiment of it too. The man is not afraid to be forgotten now, unlike chapter 3, he accepts it because as Kris' therapist, he knows that being forgotten means to have succeeded, to have saved a child from baring a cross made of guilt that they were never meant to bare in the first place.
