@drheejink: Your commute may seem short, but those daily minutes of UV exposure add up over the years—especially if you're driving long distance. UVA rays, which contribute to premature aging and hyperpigmentation, can penetrate through car windows. Here's what I recommend to my patients: -Reapply sunscreen before you head home if it's been a few hours since your morning application. This is especially important if you've been outdoors, sweating, or rubbing your face throughout the day. -Wear UPF sleeves to protect your arms while driving. They're an easy way to get consistent UV protection without worrying about sunscreen wearing off. -Use a UPF neck cover if your neck and chest are exposed. These areas are often forgotten but show some of the earliest signs of sun damage. -Don't forget sunglasses. They help protect the delicate skin around your eyes and reduce UV exposure to your eyes, which can contribute to other eye conditions. Sun protection isn't just about preventing sunburn—it's one of the best things you can do to reduce your risk of skin cancer, slow premature aging, and help prevent hyperpigmentation. Small habits, done every day, make the biggest difference. #sunprotection #dermatologist #suncaretip
