it seems like this is a systemic for profit college model issue and NOT the student loan debt itself. Maybe dont support legislation that have consequences down the line to a public univeristy?

100% for this. Colleges charge more and offer useless degrees because government funded loans help naive students get degrees that never pay themselves off. That leaves bewildered graduates buried in debt for years.
