I’m a runner - my RHR was also 38 at my last annual checkup, and the doc urgently said, “you’re either an endurance athlete or you’re about to pass out and I need to know which one it is IMMEDIATELY” 😅

My man’s a blue collar worker, his rests around 40s-50s lol they asked if he was a runner and then he told him what he does for work and for how many hours a week and they said “well that’ll do it jeez”😂

My husband is an ultra runner and we have to make sure we tell the WHOLE STAFF his HR will be low 30 and will set off your alarms, but don’t be alarmed. They always still freak

Omg! I took my son to the ER and the nurses and drs. were more concerned with his resting heart rate of 48 than the 3 torn ligaments in his ankle!! He’s a college track athlete. 🤣

Paramedics almost killed my mother once. She has a heart murmur but her resting heart rate used to be down in the forties. He kept trying to shock her while she was awake and not in cardiac arrest(which she knows will kill her because of her heart murmur) and she had to physically grab him and stop him and make him repeat her words back to her.

I’m an ultra runner and last summer had to have spine surgery. I warned the docs and anesthesiologist my heart rate an BP are super low and not to panic. I woke up in the ICU with an ART line 😂 my vitals were NORMAL for me but they indeed panicked 💀
