With breeding health is #1 temperament is #2 . From the videos Aslan isn’t a good king for a cattery. Genetic testing is great but not good enough, with Maine coons you need to do heart echos on mom and dad and OFGA hip X-rays.

If I’m being fully honest I totally understand being attached to kittens but if you are dealing with financial hardship and you already having a lot of animals to care for I don’t think adding more animals to the plate for right now I would think about maybe keeping one but not the rest it will be a lot

I think you are making the right decision not to breed anymore , but you should sell the kittens , you have so many pets as it is and it's going to be more money which you don't have to feed more, yes it's hard to let go of the kittens but they will be loved in their new home

I understand exactly how you’re feeling 😭 but all I can think about is how much harder things will be for your husband now … 🥺😣. These kitties were supposed to help relieve some financial stress on his plate… but it’s almost like toying with his emotions if you just get to back out of your word because of your feelings. I’m sorry mama but try to actually compromise on the babies …. Or at least make it up to your husband by following through with something else. This is a huge financial loss for you guys considering it was supposed to help you get out of debt. Just like that man never says no to you, also show him in return that you are considering his troubles and feelings as well. It’s hard for men these days. And you both are a beautiful couple.

I only had one litter a year and always did every health test, bought the best food, stayed up through sleepless nights, and gave my kittens all the love and care they deserved. The hardest part was letting them go. I cried when my first litter left because I loved every single one of them. I wasn’t breeding for money—I was very picky about who adopted them because I wanted them to have the best possible homes. I can see you love your animals just as much. Please don’t feel guilty for letting the kittens go. By carefully choosing the right families, you’re giving them a wonderful future. They don’t only deserve your love—they deserve loving homes where they’ll be cherished too. People often think breeding is all about making money, but they don’t see the huge amount of time, love, and money that goes into raising healthy, happy kittens. I eventually stopped breeding, had my girls spayed, and they’ll stay with me for the rest of their lives. You’re doing a great job.
