Just ask yourself one question while you're securing the load on a flatbed: what are rub rails for? And what would happen if my trailer rubbed against a cement traffic barrier? Exactly, locate your chains and straps behind the rub rails so they don't get damaged or Rubbed off!! Your welcome 🤗😁

The ratchet side is always the high side so the only issue I see is going over the rub rail if it’s centered it’s good but dot says a strap for every 8 ft so the pallets definitely need two

As a fellow CDL driver, I would choose to help that driver instead of making fun of the situation. I’m sure that, at some point in your career, someone offered you guidance or a helping hand when you needed it. Life has a way of coming full circle. Today, you may be pointing fingers and laughing, but tomorrow you could be the one in that driver’s position. A little kindness and respect can make all the difference.

ive been thru inspection with straps in the rub rails and outside the rails and never had an issuse with straps
