I’d love to recommend you to go Sushi Naga in Machida, they do a weekday Omakase for ¥2500 and after 3 trips to Japan I can wholeheartedly say iv never had better sushi for that money it was genuinely unbelievable

Dead wrong on the omakase. Most sushi places just have standard nigiri. At omakase, you get try try sushi prepared in different ways depending on the chef. You get to try fish that you normally wouldn't know to order. I had a $40 omakase in Tokyo that was incredible.

imo all the more reason to visit mt fuji (kawaguchiko lake) for 2-3 nights since the visibily isn’t always on your side. Our top 3 highlights were 1. Shiraito falls 2. Open bath in traditional bathhouse with mt fuji view and 3. Delicious cafes and burgers near kawaguhiko lake (my_lil_burger). Aaaand in my case, engagement near kawaguchiko lake😂

it's actually more worth going onto Mt Fuji than trying to take photos if you can handle the cold imo. Their ramen is actually good and the staff is friendly. By memory, you can get a cork coaster with their parfait to keep.

Kinkaku Ji is fairly interesting, but too crowded. You can usually easily reach it in less than an hour and it's possible to combine it with an Arashiyama trip. Fuji in combination with Kawaguchiko is absolutely worth it. Even those tourist bus trips to Fuji are oftentimes worth it. You also don't need more than a day?

Kinkakuji-spot on. It was fine. It was pretty. Much better temples with much nicer areas to explore. Katsuoji was so much nicer.

I agree! Shopping in Ginza isn’t that exciting. 😂 But there are so many famous restaurants there, so I guess people just do a bit of shopping while they’re in the area.
