This is definitely interesting advice and a new take I haven’t seen much off on TT! but for anyone watching just for some context “just go to law school” will cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars so if you are choosing to not to practice PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A REAL PLAN and also if you get a scholarship make sure it isn’t predatory 🩷

If you’re looking for advice on whether to attend law school, the reality of the situation is that it’s a pricy ‘learning experience’. You can choose to opt out if you learn you dislike it. Things like professionalism, ability to follow through, fun, etc do not require a JD to prove or to learn. In fact I’d argue most law schools expect you to already have these skills upon entry, and do not teach these basic skills. Besides tuition, you also pay the price in time, opportunity cost,!books, living expenses, professional suits, LSAT classes and exam, bar classes and exam(yes you need to take it to be an attorney, just going to school isn’t enough in almost all states). I’m not saying you must be an attorney. I’m saying you should not go to law school just bc youre ‘ curious’.
