It’s the fact that even after all his horrible acts and his awful choices which sum justified many others not he nearly did achieve the goal he wanted which was zauns independence, all he had to do was sacrifice jinx but he cared too much for his “daughter” which is a decision any “father” would and should never have to make

the beauty of arcane is that nobody is “evil” for the sake of it. like everyone has reason as to why they do things even if it leads them to do bad things. i wish the fandom understood that

silco was a freedom fighter and portraying him as a power angry drug lord was very much political

I mean they tried an actual rebellion once. And it didn’t work. His friend and her husband were killed. His brother figure turned on him and saw him as an enemy snd the blame. At this point he probs thought that shimmer could give them the boost they needed in terms of money (piltover is rich, Zaun isn’t, as well a better fighting chance) not saying shimmer is good, cause there were casualties.but sometimes when you feel you have no other choice you use the worst things imaginable when backed against the wall. I feel that’s what went through his head. Shimmer made him a threat. and they wanted peace after they saw he and jinx were a threat.

"Jinx was a terrorist!" Piltover deserved it. They reaped what they sow

Is it too controversial to say he’s the most “historically accurate” revolutionary in the show ànd reflects real life revolutionaries better than anyone else ànd if he had SLIGHTLY better ethics he’d have been perfect representation. He did everything he did for à perceived future utopia envisioned in his head ànd I wish either he was less morally reprehensible or Ekko had more grit ànd we saw his morals bend as à necessity to “break the chains of tyranny” Piltover had shackled the people of Zaun with.

For me he did like everyone else : he tried. He didnt use the “right” ways for it but look, after he died it was chaos in Zaun. So yeah he wasn’t a “good person” but he did help Zaun in a way and I think it makes him a very interesting character

Dare I say I see how people can hate characters and say theyre in the wrong, but this show is one big shade of Grey to me and tbh Nobody was in the wrong but also Nobody was in the right and I personally like everyone,

I genuinely don’t think there’s but like maybe one or two evil characters that don’t have a decent motive and the characters that I believe are like that come from Piltover. Like everybody that does something evil in arcane has a reason to do it and in their eyes, it’s for something good

Right, people don't understand that rogue elements (gangs, drug dealers, thieves, etc) are still ultimately from systemic oppression.

I thought it was made pretty clear that although Silco was a bad guy, his presence and motivation for Zaun was far better than the alternatives of the other underlords that wanted to take power for their own benefit

and his actions showed that Piltover was only ever willing to let Zaun have independence when they are threatened after all Zaun wasn't even given independence after season 2 after they helped prevent the annihilation of Piltover.

if you investigate, it all boils down to Heimerdinger, Cassandra, and probably, but not shown: the Ferros. Those are literally the villains of the story.

i get that he has a painful past and wanted to liberate zaun especially due to piltovers oppression but he crossed the line and still bears responsibility for targeting his very own people, exploiting children and rejecting better paths to it
