For older Sony's like my Sony A7R IV you can't use the new Sony apps like Monitor & Ctrl, instead you have to use "Sony | Imaging Edge Mobile" even through I paid $3000 for my camera. I don't use IEM, but instead use the "Monitor+" pro version. It comes with a free and pro subscription. It's best if you connect it with a USB C instead of wireless connection, if you do use the WiFi connection make sure to turn off your Bluetooth.
