***EVERYONE i appreciate your concerns! ruby does not get fish butt often. it is once in a blue moon, but when she does it stinks. simple. this is not a concern. she has bene seen by her vet to get them expressed and her vet said barely any came out and she was not worried at all. we appreciate the concern, but the fish butt was a light joke. she is healthy & her vet is. not concerned, thank you for all the info for the other dog moms as well! 😊

Guys it’s anal glands. they express when a dogs poop and they can express when excited, scared, etc. some need the vet to do it

You need to express their anal glands every few weeks (all dogs). Dogs drag their bottoms across the floor when they get impacted and then the next step could possibly be surgery.

My dachshund had fish butt so bad and so often that we were considering having her glands removed, but we decided to try sensitive skin and stomach food and it has been FIVE YEARS! since she stunk up a room.
