I don’t really understand this narrative of men saying that women are making accusation because of money. This is the government charging him. She would have to take him to court civilly spend money on a lawyer and it could still not work in her favour so how was accusing somebody of sexual assault automatically mean you’re gonna make money?

It’s hard to prove SA in cases anyway especially when it’s consensual to begin with and then becomes non consensual. He got charged with what they could prove. If we had better control of our urges and life, these things would almost cease to exist

I don’t see how people are saying that she did this over a £250 key but proceeds to hire lawyers and put herself at a financial and social disadvantage for him to still be found guilty of 2 counts of assault. Your second point is proof that he probably felt entitled to something out of her, he thought he could throw money at a situation and use his status to sweep it under the rug. Some people reach a point where they think they’re untouchable and act on impulse. I hope she’s ok

false accusations are a lot more common than people think; I recently saw a podcast clip with an experienced TO lawyer who mentioned how roughly 30-40% of the SA/DV cases he works are concluded as false accusations WITH proof. It creates a dangerous situation where it's becoming more difficult to disinguish who the real victims are

Also just to raise a point I think there being no punishment if the other person is lying whether that is a male or female they feel like they don’t have anything to lose just abit of hate for a bit and people will forget it as the internet is full of sheep.
