but this is so unfair to sellers. I hear what your saying and I get it but I've been a buyer before and I've NEVER been as picky as my buyers have been. I just feel like buyers who are looking at my house (built in 1975 and in the description obviously) are looking at my house expecting it to look brand new. that's just not fair imo. we've worked our butts off deep cleaning and doing repairs and the feedback from some of these buyers is ridiculous. I just feel like the whole process is a little unfair to sellers. if you want a perfect house, go build one and don't expect my 50 year old house to be absolutely perfect.

We completely moved out and gave the house a fresh, clean look. We painted the inside white to create a bright, neutral color that would appeal to buyers, and we also painted the baseboards. We thoroughly cleaned everything inside and out and added a few plants and simple décor pieces for staging. The house looked bright, clean, and inviting and it sold within just two weeks this year!

I painted and put so much in the storage unit and took my cats to another place. It sold in 2 days $30k more than asking price. It’s work but it works!!

I’ve been in the market for a new house for a couple of years now. Don’t need one but want something a little different. As long as the house is well maintained and clean I will consider it. I’m smart enough to see the house beyond the family pictures, the toys, the black mulch and lack of color in the flower beds. 🤷♀️

It’s so worth it to do the work before listing. We were in above asking price escrow after one open house weekend - 2 days of showings, that’s it. We worked hard getting it ready, so worth it.
