@movementismotive: If you spend hours sitting every day, your body adapts to it. Your hips stay flexed. Your shoulders spend more time rounded forward. That doesn't mean you're broken, it just means your body got really good at the positions you practice the most. That's why I like exercises like this. You're doing the exact opposite of sitting by opening up your hips, reaching your arms behind you, and reminding your body that it can still move through those positions. You don't need to spend an hour stretching every day. A few minutes of movements like this a few times a week can go a long way toward keeping everyday movements feeling easier.
