Anything that saved me time, improved the quality of my work, or helped me land more paid opportunities is absolutely worth it!! If I had to start my creator business again tomorrow, these are the first things I’d buy: 1. A reliable phone I film almost everything on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. 2. A portable light Natural light will always be my first choice, but this lets me film anywhere without waiting for the perfect weather. 3. A larger ring light For talking-to-camera videos, evening shoots or days when I need more coverage. Good lighting can make even a simple phone video look significantly more professional. 4. A microphone Clear audio is non-negotiable. Mine cost around £20, so you don’t need to start with the most expensive option. 5. Two different tripods I use a tall tripod for talking-to-camera videos and a smaller one for desk shots, product demonstrations and filming in tight spaces. 6. A high-capacity power bank Filming drains your battery much faster than normal use!! 7. A 2TB SSD Content takes up a lot of space, especially when you’re filming multiple versions for clients. My SSD keeps my devices clear while allowing me to safely store raw footage, final edits and previous client work. 8. Product photography backdrops These instantly make product shots look cleaner and more intentional without needing an expensive studio or perfectly styled home. ✨You don’t need to buy everything before you start.
