@clobaremoneycoach: How to invest $1.5k a month and retire with $2 million... even if you're 35+ and haven't started investing yet! Remember-- even if you can't do $1.5k/month, every bit helps. Some money in the future is always better than no money in the future. Here's how I would start if I was starting with scratch with investing when I'm 35+ 👇🏻 1. I'd open my account up at Fidelity (not sponsored) 2. I'd open up a Roth IRA (as long as I qualified-- if you're single and making less than $153k MAGI or if you're married and making less than $242k MAGI-- you should qualify!) 3. I'd contribute $625 a month to that Roth IRA so I could max it out for the year and get tax free growth! Then the rest, I'd either up my 401(k) contributions or add the money to a taxable brokerage. 4. I'd buy investments like FSKAX or FXAIX so I could be well diversified and at LEAST get started! Now here's the thing-- you won't want to be ONLY invested in something like FXAIX-- because you want to be really diversified in order to withstand the ups and downs of the market, at any age. What types-- are going to depend on you! I talk about this in my free investing class happening next week.
