@limonletta: We put together a short cover of Find Your Flame for the @gamescage Sonic 35th Anniversary Fanshow! We're super honored to have been to be featured! We wanted to focus this project on Sonic and Tails and their unbreakable bond! We chose “Find Your Flame” because it plays during Tails’ portion of the game, and the lyrics are speculated to be about their relationship. One extra detail is that we included ASL signs for the lyrics in the last part of the chorus. This was partly because the vocalists are learning ASL, and partly because there’s a semi-common headcanon that Sonic and Tails used some kind of sign language to communicate when they were younger. We thought it would be a nice homage to their past! The ASL guides were done by Eggu and Limon, while Loop and Suzuca handled the cel animation. Suzuca also did the final motion graphics! Each sprite art pose has two facial expressions: one for the clean singing sections, and one for the distortion sections! Loop was in charge of those sketches, and Jamie rendered them in the vibrant colors we thought would fit the song best. Overall, this project was a lot of fun, and I couldn’t have done it without everyone on the team!
