@thatguy17760704: Part 2, DIY storm shelter build. We have been getting more and more tornadoes around us so we decided to build a shelter! #stormshelter #tornado #storm #bunker #DIY
I used to build shelters for a small local business. We always put a hydraulic jack opener on the top side door. In case debris fell on it

As a fellow scroller with zero degrees in storm shelter building, I believe this is an amazing show of free will and a guy doing whatever is takes to prepare for family protection.

I used to do ironwork professionally. I built safe rooms. Brother you did well. Better than many other “professionals” I’ve met.

Looks good man, got a serious question tho. What id the perk to doing a door on the slab opposed to doing it on the side of the foundation? Not knocking your work just wondered if there was any cons to it as I may eventually build something at my house. Seems like tornadoes are getting more notorious around my area.

Nice. And a big patio to boot. You can sit on the patio and watch the storm roll in and bail when you hear it or see it
