I was told I wasn’t allowed to sit at the thanksgiving table at his sisters after our second child was born becuase “the table is for family” I sat with tears in my eyes with my baby on my lap. When we left he said he didn’t know that happened and then proceeded to get mad at me because I was being emotional because he didn’t see it so it didn’t happen.

The first time his family disrespected me indirectly, he cut them off. It’s been almost 4 years. He knows how they are and wants nothing to do with them! My sister in laws kid came up and smacked me in the face with a hard plastic toy out of nowhere while I was talking to my husbands cousin. My mother in law was sitting in the same room and LAUGHED. The cousin is the only one that attempted to discipline the kid. When I told my husband what happened, he just shrugged and said “well what do you want me to do?!” He’s gonna be the ex as soon as I can figure out how to make enough to leave.

Absolutely. My husband was very up front it would be me over mommy if she made life difficult for me. I’d not have married him if he hadn’t been up front. Sadly his mom continued to be crap to me so he cut contact.
