i agree broadly but it's more nuanced than that. people are biased towards negativity, "drama" and allegations, so the media scrapes whatever it can find and puts it under a microscope. "mark ruffalo continues being a pretty ok person" doesnt make headlines

This is why I actually love the influencer era. Yes, there are a lot of awful people who are influencers. But also for basically the first time in history, technology allows people who are relatively well adjusted and kind to build an independent platform to make money from their skills and not have to make those industry compromises.
