@austyncohenstudios: What happens when you fire soil from an ant hill in a kiln? These are some of the results from my first ever material melt tests. So much fun harvesting, processing, firing and reviewing. This particular set of samples was a test to answer a question I had, if ants manipulating the soil affects the fired results. In conclusion I can say yes in certain scenarios it appears as if they do have influence on the fired results, from slight color or textural variations to more obvious differences as shown in my park sample comparison in the video. I hope the video was informative and entertaining. I will be continuing to experiment with harvested materials.
