I’m an ortho assistant. Don’t do this. This is how you can get spotting on your teeth because whatever whitening toothpaste or strip you’re using will not go beneath your bracket or the glue we use on your brackets

Did your orthodontist tell you this ?😳 i used to work ortho and I have neverrrr heard this . And we sold this brand . Your not supposed to whiten with braces because the places with the brackets will not match when you get them removed

I had braces back in 2000 and was told not to use any whitening stuff on your teeth cuz it would cause yellow spots, they still say it’s a bad idea. you should have done this before u got braces

Ortho assist here- so if you dont brush well, you can get decal (permanent white scars) on your teeth and around the brackets. you won't get decal under the glue because its sealed to the tooth. I would bet that if you stick with whitening like this, that you will likely see where it did not whiten-under the braces/glue.

as an ortho assistant... i gasped... baby you better count your lucky stars if you dont have spots under every bracket. this is a huge no no with braces

I worked for a dental office with an orthodontist and we sold these whitening strips. Ive actually used them myself. Do not use them while in ortho. Never use any whitening products while in ortho including opalescence. Idk why they told you thats okay.
