zoom never really got here in Europe. already using teams since 2017.. our entire company was running on it way before covid.. the transition to working from home went flawless, we were ready.

Zoom app has one of the worst, confusing, cluttered interfaces I've ever experienced. Every time I have (not choose) to use it, I feel lost and uncomfortable

well technically it was out in 2017 and available to 365 business and enterprise. I remember trying to fix the shit show that occured with IT doing roll out and making mess of channels and backend sharepoint sites it made. this was before COViD and we were working out how use it as a dev platform for corporate apps

Do we all agree that Teams is probably the worst product ever built? Not so far ago messages came in incorrect order or "reordered" dynamically again changing place (but always incorrect). Also calendar sometimes doesn't work and only old calendar does -which now they disabled. And don't forget when messages just don't go, call connect but you cannot listen, or you cannot share screen, or delay is that bad when sharing that your video is one minute behind. There are SO many things that are bad in this product... incredible.

At least get your facts right smh. Teams was built in response to Slack, not Zoom. Teams was already around and bundled in Office by the time COVID hit and Zoom got popular.

We've been using Teams for I think 3 years now. It just auto deletes messages and files sent to yourself so I send it via Zoom. 😂

Integration is the key. M365 is a breeze for scheduling meetings. I don't need to open Zoom just to schedule and join meeting.

I've been a fan of Zoom since I used it and was actually kind of not happy when my company switched to MS Teams. But, I was proven wrong. With M365, all the apps I needed are there in one place including Office, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams. They are integrated together. When you schedule meetings in Calendar, it creates a Team meeting link automatically. You don't need to manually configure the link itself and send to your email recipients like in Zoom. When that meeting comes, it pops up in your Outlook email. You do not need to search and open MS Team app manually. Just click join and it will direct you to MS teams app. The recordings are also stored in OneDrive, where all your files reside. So, I am okay with monopoly when it makes me efficient. Those complaining probably haven't experienced how seamless M365 apps works.

Whoever thinks zoom is great, they must be dreaming. Maybe sleek in making the connection quick, but the UI is a mess. Not intuitive enough for me to see the status of things. Zoom only popped up successful due to COVID, but in reality who cares if it had better technology, when UI is not clean enough. Confusing to setup, with crazy rooms or ID to join. The integration of teams with outlook was a game changer. Zoom outlook integration was not the best, don’t tell me to install 3rd party plugins etc. people now a days don’t have time to fuss around.

Teams is also like a storage cloud, it has multiple purposes. So you can store all your companies documents on it and not pay for a separate hosting service.
