@satpreptutor: This brand new digital SAT exam math question, just released by College Board only a few hours ago, may be the hardest rectangle / quadrilateral question I’ve seen in so long! Can you solve for the area?? #satprep #digitalsat #sattutor #satpractice #satquestionbank

shoelace theoremm!!!!! To execute the formula manually:Order the vertices counterclockwise (either starting from the top-left or any point in sequence).List the coordinates in a vertical column, repeating the very first coordinate at the bottom.Multiply downward diagonals (top-left to bottom-right) and sum them up.Multiply upward diagonals (bottom-left to top-right) and sum them up.Subtract the upward sum from the downward sum.Take the absolute value of this difference and divide by 2 to find the final area.

wow i remember struggling with this problem because of shoelace.. this is an amazing method to solve it along with distance(x,y)!! just hope its always on an exact point rather than fraction..

Desmos! let the vertices of the triangle be ABCD. then have Desmos calculate for you the distance dAB and dBC. Area=dAB*dBC

What's so hard about that? Even without desmos, an average 7th grader could solve this. Not that tricky
