I totally understand this! I met my best friend in grade 1 and she moved in grade 10. We stayed connected as well as we could and life took us here and there, together and apart but whenever we reconnected it was like we had seen each other yesterday. She too was diagnosed with early onset dementia, hers at 50, well before maid. Grieving someone still there is heartbreaking. Her decline was rapid as she had signs well before her diagnosis. She is still here, in care, non verbal now although can sing any song that comes on. I know a little part of her is still there though, whenever I travel to visit, I use the name she was called as a child (different than her legal adult name) and she still stops and turns to me. I miss my friend so much and all that we never got to experience. Just like my bff, Rebecca is ingrained in your existence, part of you and always will be. ❤️

I find myself searching up to see if you have posted, as I did Rebecca. I've said this once, I'll say it probably 50 more times... what a gift you are to us, and how awesome of a friend you just really are to her. May we all be so lucky in friendship.

that's pretty much how I met my best friend I moved in within hours she was in my house about a weekend I gave her one of my Barbies but then I forgot I was pissed off at her for like a month cuz I would swear up and down that she took it and not only that I think that I've been find out she be face the Barbie that she for some reason covered it in gold nail polish I don't know
