I only swore around my mother once. An “eff you!” Screamed in her face at 13. She slapped me so fast - it was like a loony toons cartoon where Daffy Duck gets his beak moved around to the back of his head. lol. Only time she EVER hit me. And I still love her more than anything else in the world. It wasn’t abuse, it was appropriate correction.
