I worked in retail and wasn’t one of my manager’s favourites. I was working my mothers 50th birthday party after requesting a day off (I had already almost doubled my contracted hours) and a guy threatened to set fire to our shop for not serving him alcohol while he was too drunk. I laughed round the corner as this was a normal occurrence. I realised that being paid under 18 minimum wage wasn’t worth the constant threats

I work in retail and I had this customer come in trying to return an item. Well we did even sell that item in the store and she was very adamant we did. The manager came over told her the same thing and she said “can’t you still return it” like girl that isn’t even one of our products

I got moved to nightshifts for a while. They saus just untill they find somebody Else. Afterwards 4 weeks of them „still looking“ despite 2 new hites during that time, the teamleader of the nightshift called us all together because he wasn‘t satisfied with the Teams Performance. He czssed us out and ended that by „if you don‘t feel motiviere to give 100% you should better just leave. I thought, Yeah, That’s actually a Great idea an Left. 3 weeks later i had a mi h better Job at a competinhg Company.

Being 40ft high on a scissor lift and being told to jump from the lift to the ceiling without the platform being pulled out. And being told the last guy broke his spine from falling though a skylight.
