I have two Gregory packs and I LOVE them! I use the Nano 20 plus size as a daypack almost every day at work when it isn’t raining. It’s so comfortable and is holding up great after four years.

Osprey has some extended fit backpacks, too. I am particularly excited the offer the Exos/Eja in bigger sizes, because it is often hard to find a lighter weight pack made to fit plus sizes.

as a size 22-24, I love the women's nemo sleeping bag Forte gives lots of room for my hips and shoulders but gives that mummy feel for larger bodies.

Girl, when I was younger I worked as a private combat arms instructor and I could not find tactical clothes for plus size women. There was plenty of gear for big men but their clothes didn’t fit me in a way where I wasn’t constantly readjusting my clothes. It was terrible. Things are a little better now. This is good content!

I love this and appreciate the info. But I’d also like to say that as a plus size person, or any person, you don’t need to buy ANY gear to just take a hike and enjoy outside. Take a hike in a ballgown if you want. Of course, if you’re camping or backpacking or taking a big hike, know what you need and be prepared. It just really freaks me out that people think they have to spend money to be in nature. It’s for all of us and it’s free.

thanks for the tips! love my gregory 60l pack! its mens because i bought the year before they released their plus size version. also, big agnes has made a plus sized sleeping bag for decades if anyone is looking. got mine in 2003!
