The wage differences between union and nonunion is minor. The ridiculous amount spent on insurance and payroll taxes is the real problem. Those expenses don’t contribute anything towards the product but make up almost half the labor costs.

we get yearly raises. we go thru reviews every year. sometimes they forget but if u remainder them they bring u right in and take care of u. not all non union companies are bad.

Ibew local 11 was just denied strike approval over contract negotiations.. majority of vote wanted to strike but the president said no

My monthly IBEW dues are less than a week's worth of my health insurance when I was non union. (Not even including my dental and vision insurance). My health/vision/dental insurance is included in my package at the IBEW and it has way better coverage. That alone makes dues worth it. (We haven't even discussed the better pay, better protections, and better conditions.)
