Fun fact, it actually takes bathroom paint about two weeks to fully cure before you should ever return any type of water on in the room!

10 year employee of a very large paint brand.... surfactant leaching !!!! Most common in bathrooms or high moisture rooms. Use a very gentle cloth (ideally similar color of walls) and some dawn soap/warm water. Wipe down all walls. Then wipe with clean water different cloth! May have to do this multiple times. Is there a vent fan? If not - highly suggest pricing out getting one installed. Unfortunately with a dark color this will probably continue to happen unless there's more ventilation. Lower sheen wouldn't fix it - you'd still see streaks. Good luck!! 🥲

This happened to us! We did 2-3 coats of this and let it cure for like 3ish days before we painted and haven’t had any issues since!

That paint is doing you a favor - It's warning you of future mold problem right now. Get that moisture fixed , before it makes you sick.

Gotta get a stronger exhaust fan. I had that exact one in my bathroom and it was original to the home in 1992. There also may be buildup that needs to be cleared.

Have you tried putting a dehumidifier in there? Not to alarm you, but I used to live in a house where the walls would sweat like that - turns out it was mold 🥲

Deep base paints take 30-40 days to full cure. Hot showers and cheap dark paints don’t mix. Exhaust fan is needed

A.H. Green, LLC :
It's called surfactant leaching - especially with dark colors a paint may feel dry but they take much longer to fully cure. If that paint is not cured properly and it is exposed to high humidity it will do exactly what you see.
