Dirty oil with impurities sits at the bottom of the oil pan . Now the vaccum sucks it and it moves up in the engine bay ….. concentrated impurities gets mixed with the oil throughout 😁

100% works. I used to do it the heating oil tanks. 270 gallons. We would do it the replace the valve on the bottom of the tank. Been doing it for 30 years.
