It took me a good 10yrs to realize that coercion was SA. It's not uncommon. I gave in and did it because it was easier than fighting or arguing.

As a child I froze AND dissociated. It carries over in to adulthood. Every assault that happened afterwards was the same MO. “Get through it and escape”

Baby deer have an instinct to freeze when danger approaches because they are not fast. Mama Deer is fast. Mama Deer knows she just has to run, drawing the danger away, and then circle back for Baby. Don’t beat yourself up because you weren’t a mama deer yet.
