A protagonist is the main character of a story and an antagonist is a character who goes against the main character so even if what he’s doing was morally correct which it still isn’t then he still wouldn’t be the protagonist

Agent Milton is more of a peacekeeper. We only see him as a villain because we’re on the “good” side. But there is no official good side in war it’s only depending which side we’re on

most of your rdr 2 analysis are spot on but ngl hard to agree with this one. milton is not the protagonist, as he is not the character leading the story. we follow the story through Arthur, thus making him the protagonist. and even if you want to say Milton is the morally right one, well I don’t think being corrupt and working for Leviticus Cornwall would be qualified as good. I mean as Dutch points out moments before killing him, Cornwall is pretty much doing the awful crap Dutch does but by obeying the law. also bringing a gatling gun in lakay and unleashing incredible violence on the gang, displaying a readiness to kill even the children and women

He wasn't the protagonist. A protagonist is the character you follow, while an antagonist is the character that stands in the way of the protagonist, arthur is the protagonist, and milton is the antagonist, but you could argue that milton wasn't the villain, and that arthur was the villain
