A few weeks ago, Mary, a young woman living with severe mental illness, was found wandering the streets. She was heavily pregnant with twins, critically anaemic, and had no one to care for her. We refused to look away. With the support of compassionate people, Mary was admitted to the hospital, where she spent three weeks receiving intensive medical care. Against all odds, she underwent a successful Caesarean section at Ridge Hospital and safely delivered two beautiful babies a boy and a girl. Today, we thank God that all three are alive. But Mary's journey is far from over. She and her newborn twins have no safe place to call home. They need shelter, food, baby supplies, medical care, and ongoing support as we work to secure a safe future for this vulnerable family. We cannot do this alone.
