Every corporate job I have ever had had a policy about representing the company on and off the clock. Which included off site meals and meetings while wearing company badges, logo merch, and or discussing company projects or clients. And all stated you could be terminated. This isn’t anything new.

The comments are ridiculous. They were in public having a conversation. Makes it a public conversation. No reasonable expectation of privacy. Also every company has policies stating you represent them while wearing your work uniform.

You did right. I’m sorry but we have to stop certain behaviors and we also have to stop certain behaviors against women. If they were talking and did this without names and badges then it would have been a different situation and you wouldn’t have anyone to tell because no names had been used. I back you up 100%. People as a whole just need to stop accepting poor behavior and making excuses for it. Go talk crap at home in your backyard over a beer like a normal person and you won’t get in trouble. It’s sloppy, disgusting and disrespectful to your place of employment and its employees.

I’ve been in this situation so many times, it doesn’t matter if it’s a supermarket, Walmart, target, Ross, Marshalls, any of those, it is such a complete turn off to hear some of the things coming out of employees mouths!
